The Digital Matrix: Reverb for 6/6

E3Well kids, it’s that time of year again. Time to sit in front of the computer and with baited breath as press release after press release stream in front of us via live conference sessions. For those of you that might not realize what time of the year it is, it’s E3 time baby! (http://www.e3expo.com/)

What is E3? Well it’s the conference where all the video game industry leaders get together to show off how big their package is! By whipping out their big gunswe get to see what’s coming out in the future so we can start saving now. What are some of the things you are looking forward to? Here are some of the things we MIGHT see, keep your fingers crossed. It’s June 15-17 so keep tuned in.

  • New Nintendo Home Console System(compatible with Wii and new disk format)
  • Legend of Zelda (maybe even a real title and the announcement of it coming on 2 systems)
  • Final Fantasy Vs. 13 (we haven’t had info on this for years)
  • 3d DSI
  • Parasite Eve 3
  • Kingdom Hearts 3
  • A new Playstation Handheld (maybe one that isn’t download only and has new features we would use.)
  • Project Natal(It’s time for Microsoft to show us their new money pit.)
  • Xbox 720 (A long rumored upgraded 360 system with double the power!)
  • Diablo 3
  • Starcraft 2 ( no not the one that’s coming out at the end of July, the 2nd installment. Oh yeah, if you didn’t know Starcraft 2 is coming in 3 parts…..WTF)
  • Blizzards new MMO revealed (We may not see any info on this because Blizzard holds their own convention in August.

Recently Announced Games:

Deus Ex: Human Revolution(http://deusex.com/preorder.php)- A long delayed first person shooter. This was a big game back in the day before the port to console systems killed the series. This is a prequel.

Killzone 3(http://www.killzone.com/kz3/hub.html)- Sony’s answer to Halo come in to it’s 3rd installment. KZ2 was a huge upgrade from KZ1, lets hope for some more awesome.
